On American Road

SOMEONE SAVE ME

I cry, I walk

I sleep, I sigh

I pray, I wait

I want, I try

To find myself

In a peaceful lot

To rest awhile

In a sunny spot

But life is hard

With my overload

I feel heavy

On American road

Where is home?

Who am I?

Someone save me

Hear my cry

WILD!

“Be wild; that is how to clear the river. The river does not flow in polluted, we manage that. The river does not dry up, we block it. If we want to allow it its freedom, we have to allow our ideational lives to be let loose, to stream, letting anything come, initially censoring nothing. That is creative life. It is made up of divine paradox. To create one must be willing to be stone stupid, to sit upon a throne on top of a jackass and spill rubies from one’s mouth. Then the river will flow, then we can stand in the stream of it raining down.”

Clarissa Pinkola Estés, Women Who Run With The Wolves

THE MOUNTAINS ODE TO MY FRIENDS

If ever you find

All you’ve built is a joke

When all you can do

Is sit, cry & toke

Remember us

And if ever in life

Your world crashes down

Then smiles, they leave you

Only to frown

Please, remember us

When you crave some fresh air

Blending greens with our hope

Please don’t think about only

Your fine, fragrant dope

But remember us

We’re here in the sunshine

We’re here in the rain

Your steady, big brothers

To relieve all your pain

Oh please, remember us

Some of My Expressions

Wednesday, December 28th, 2011/6:20am EST~Altamonte Springs, Florida USA

Every artist dips his brush in his own soul,

and paints his own nature into his pictures.

~Henry Ward Beecher

This photo above shows three of my painted soul-expressions.

  • Top left: “Soulmate”; mixed media assemblage.
  • Right: “FLOW”; acrylic on canvas.
  • Bottom: “Approaching Love”; acrylic on canvas.

The artist is the opposite of the politically minded individual, the opposite of the reformer, the opposite of the idealist. The artist does not tinker with the universe, he recreates it out of his own experience and understanding of life.

~Henry Miller

The image is blurry, I know, sorry, but I want to show you what I’m all about.  See here my art, books, journals, a handmade quilt and shells I gathered on Pensacola beach in early May of 2011 while getting sober on Annie’s farm. (we took a day trip)

So yes, this is how I spend my free time rather than watching television.  Truly, if I couldn’t live a creative life, I wouldn’t feel that life is worth living!

Painting is just another way of keeping a diary.  ~Pablo Picasso

It has been said that art is a tryst, for in the joy of it maker and beholder meet.

~Kojiro Tomita

“The Chicken”  I painted this in glow-in-the-dark painting in 2010, before I got sober on the farm.  Funny eh?….my soul lit the path out of the darkness of alcohol abuse, via my artistic expression while “in flow”. :)

Everything in creation has its appointed painter or poet and remains in bondage like the princess in the fairy tale ’til its appropriate liberator comes to set it free.

~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Hi guys! :)   Boy, am I ever TIRED!  I’ve been here 8 days already and am not even finished unpacking and settling into my room.  I guess I’d forgotten how much work it is to be in charge of a household kitchen!  Or, I had gotten lazy in Deltona?….life was so simple and BORING there.

Since arriving home in San Diego, I have taken a few photos of the town where I am living.  It’s called Ocean Beach.  We live in a little beach cottage about 3 blocks from the sand and even less distance to the one and only Starbucks here in OB. :)   As soon as I get the time to do so, I will post some of the images I’ve been shooting around town so you can see how cool and funky this place is.  I like FUNKY! LOL

And speaking of funky, here below is another abstract photo edit I created in picnik today. I am calling it: “Starting Over“. The original at the bottom of this post is a photo one of my journals from early 2006.  I want to learn how to PAINT like this!!!….

Starting Over

Dreaming of Love

Painting is Poetry

He Loves Me!

He kissed me last night
In my dreams

The kind of kissing
That I imagine
From a man who loves me

I woke this morning
Still feeling him
On top of me

Ravishing my neck
My mouth
Earlobes
Throat

The dream is fuzzy
All I remember is
The kissing

Kissing

K…i…s…s…i…n…g

Not wanting to stop

He didn’t want to stop

So I just laid there
Basking in the fire
Of his love

He loves me!

My MASTER!
